World Ocean Day-June 8th

“World Ocean Day is being celebrated on Tuesday, June 8th.
The Gespe’gewaq Mi’gmaq Resource Council (GMRC) is celebrating World Ocean Day by increasing awareness about the importance of creating a healthier ocean.
You can play an important role in restoring a healthier ocean. Everyone can make a difference and the The Loïck Project is a great example of how we all can make
an impact. Since this project began, it has inspired many people to clean up the environment and over 10,057 bags of garbage have been collected since the project started.
We are asking you to help keep the momentum going and go out and clean the shoreline on World Ocean Day. Take a picture and post it here, and we will enter your name in for a draw. On behalf of GMRC we would like to thank you for doing your part in helping the Ocean healthy. (Charlene)
