The shoreline in Listuguj is looking cleaner today after staff from the Gespe’gewaq Mi’gmaq Resource Council (GMRC) spent Thursday afternoon picking up trash along the river. A total of 13 bags of litter were removed, along with large metal objects and plastics. GMRC organizes shoreline cleanups in our membership communities, making a big impact in keeping litter from entering our waterways. Staff also pick up litter when out conducting fieldwork throughout the year. We encourage you to help keep our territory clean and leave a lighter footprint on Mother Earth.
